Substitute for honey?

I am on a raw vegan diet. I thought honey was a natural product, but I have heard some say it is not vegan because it is considered an animal product. What is something else I could use instead of honey? I made a DELICIOUS raw vegan salad that was drizzled with honey on top. I like that honey made the salad stay together a bit. I made it seem like a real dressing because it was heavier than lemon juice... understand what I mean?? What type of oily raw vegan thing could I use to drizzle on my salad instead of honey??
