My 6 month old daughter had open heart surgery 10 weeks ago. Since then she is restless and coughs constantly.?

It is a dry hacking cough and wakes her up. I thought she was having apnea episodes but they say it is periodic breathing and nothing to worry about. Now both her ped and cardiologist have said the same thing BUT I still think something is wrong. What should I do?? Any info or ideas
