My roasted onions are slightly pink in the center?

I roasted 2 onions cut in quarters, drizzled in oil in a dish. Next to it was an aluminium wrapped garlic-head. Now the middle of the onions is slightly pinkish. I never had that before. Google says that 'pink root' is a disease in onions... Can I use them or not?
